That is such a sad story. I hope after a time you are able to enjoy your Exsis the way it should be.
Can you post a direct link to the video? The one above isnt displaying properly

Why dont you upload it to Wetransfer. Or share it via Dropbox or Onedrive. Happy to help with any of this. I’d be keen to get a copy ASAP
Cheers

Hi
I don’t think any Exsis had a factory fitted rear view camera – so people may struggle to answer this. Try covering it and see what happens?
Tony
Sorry to hear that. I’ve not heard of much chassis rust apart from the front chassis cross member which is prone to corrosion. I hope you can get the work done effectively and at reasonable cost.
I had to replace the entire unit, but the Exsis version has an extended stalk compared with the Ducato one. So I bought a standard Ducato mirror and transplanted it to the existing hinged stalk.
If you want to deal with the spare heater wires – just wrap some insulating tape on the ends, fasten them together with more tape and tuck out of the way so they wont short.
Sorry – had failed to ensure I got notifications from this post. The WhatsApp tour was live between us So I could answer questions. Happy to do it again if you wish. I’ve activated notifications so wont miss this time

I’ve already done a virtual tour via WhatsApp. Happy to repeat. I have an SG

UPDATE
Got a replacement pump from Germany – second hand cost £900 !!
Exsis now back on the road. I missed out on the Polish one!
That should of course have been trickle charging. Phone not good for this site!
<p style=”text-align: left;”>My advice is to turn everything off. Constant trick charging is not good for battery. Make sure its charged first. Check every month or so. Don’t forget to drain all water. Leave taps open and water pump disconnected.

Just get an SG! BTW there are seat belt mounts concealed behind the two plastic covers just forward of the habitation door – I use mine to hold a fire extinguisher!

The biggest vulnerability is the cab doors which can be opened in 30 seconds with a screwdriver. I was alerted to this by an ex Exsis owner who had a break in in Barcelona. It’s incredibly simple. I’ll refrain from posting how to do it here, but happy to advise.
I fitted Heosafe locks the the cab door, which thwarted a breakin attempt a mere year later in France. I only noticed the damage to the locks a day later. I’ve also fitted a double throw ABUS cylinder lock to the habitation door.
Strongly recommend both!
